The Pros Big Bang Fanfiction Challenge
Welcome to the Big Bang Challenge for The Professionals fandom
This is a collaborative project between our fandom's writers and artists to produce original Pros fiction at least 10,000 words long, with accompanying artwork or vids. And remember, this is just a minimum. So if that 100,000 word novel is busting to get out, then stand back and let it!
We’re a relatively small but passionate fandom, so we’re not planning to tie you up with a lot of rules and regulations for this. Membership and posting access will be open to all, whether you sign up for the challenge or not, and we’d love your input on the various cheerleading, beta, prompt, and help posts which we’ll be putting up over the coming months.
As a participant, you can share as much, or as little, of your creative process as you like. As a reader, be aware that you may encounter details of stories or artwork that is being produced for the challenge. We will be putting up warnings on posts where those sorts of details may turn up.
The 2023 schedule:
February 1: Writer sign ups begin
March 1: Writer sign ups close
May 1: Artist sign ups begin
May 31: Artist sign ups close
July 1: Writers’ rough drafts (6,000 word minimum)/full outlines due. Story summaries also due
July 9: Artist Claims Day. Artists will claim stories based on anonymous story summaries, first come, first served
September 23: Final stories (10,000 words minimum) and artwork/vids due
October: Posting begins
